When does Isha end if it begins after midnight?

When does Isha end?

Cairo, 25 Ramadan, 1443

Question: Assalamu Alaikum respected Sheikh,

Here in Sweden, and perhaps in other countries too, the time for Isha (the night prayer) begins after midnight.

In this case, does the time for the Isha prayer last until Fajr (the dawn prayer)? Because the scholars say that the time for Isha lasts until midnight, however, it does not begin for us until after midnight.

The honourable Sheikh Arafat answered: Wa Alaikum Assalam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu

Yes, it (the time for Isha) extends until Fajr (the dawn prayer).
